Why Medjool is the “King of Dates”

It is one of the largest dates you can buy, with thick flesh around a small pit. A good one is soft, almost melting, under a thin skin. It tastes of caramel and a little honey without being cloying. Eat it as it is, stuff it with nuts or cheese, or blend and bake with it.

Where our Medjool comes from

All the Medjool we sell is from Palestine; the Medjool dates Palestine page has more on the origin. We import it ourselves and store it in Seri Kembangan, so you pay the importer’s price. Every pack in stock now is 2026 crop.

Grades to choose from

There are four grades. Large is for everyday eating and cooking, and right now it comes as 24 × 250g packs (RM355). Jumbo comes as a single 900g box (RM70), the cheapest way to try Medjool, or in 12 × 500g (RM355) and 8 × 900g (RM448) cartons. Premium Jumbo and Super Jumbo are the biggest fruit, the ones for gift boxes and hampers, in 5kg cartons at RM280 and RM315.

Storage tips

Keep Medjool airtight, away from heat and sunlight. It lasts a month or two at room temperature, longer in the fridge, and about a year frozen. Serve it at room temperature.
